Year 2 had an amazing time at Holy Trinity Church, exploring the meaning of Harvest. We learnt all about the Creation Story through a puppet show and discussed what we are grateful for in life. We loved exploring the bible story and playing games to make us think more about what we are thankful for. Take a look at some of our pictures!
Year 3 are still learning about collage and the artist we focused on this week was Andy Goldsworthy. Andy is known for creating collages using natural resources. We created our own natural collages using natural resources we found around the school grounds.

In music we have been learning to sing the Bon Jovi classic! We are so good at the singing we are now playing music alongside!
We looked at a range of materials and predicted whether they would be soluble and insoluble-we had a lot of fun testing our predictions too!
Today, we celebrated European Languages Day and we focused on Italy. We all came in dressed in red, green and white to represent the flag. We learned lots of new facts about Italy, including, what continent it belongs to, the climate, famous landmarks and the types of food and drink they have there.
Next, we made our very own Venetian masks. After dinner, we had an Italian food tasting session where we tasted pizza, mozzarella, olives and salami. The children were very brave and tried foods they hadn’t tasted before.

We looked at the reasons why learning languages is important and also how it is celebrated around the world-we then looked at greetings in 25 different languages and said hello to each other!
