For over 20 years Southwick Community Primary has prioritised supporting the emotional wellbeing of the entire school community, embedding mental health into the curriculum.

The school and Pastoral Team work relentlessly to support the mental health of staff, children and parents. Staff are offered support and counselling training and parents are offered a wide range of courses and support including ‘New me’ courses, positive reinforcement, and parent counselling.

To help to bring together the community and raise awareness of mental health, the school has held 13 annual lantern processions which have helped to create a sense of
belonging.

Southwick Community Primary has remained dedicated to putting the emotional wellbeing of the community at the heart of the school.

Mrs Ellison, Mr Robson and Maria Clarke, Well Being Manager, hold our fantastic award.
