NSPCC Number Day – Friday 6th February 2026

On Friday 6th February, we will be celebrating NSPCC Number Day in school. Children can come to school dressed either as something number related or as a Times Table Rock star! Please see some DIY fancy dress ideas below as you really don’t need to buy anything new!

The children will take part in fun number related activities and competitions throughout the day. Friday enrichment clubs will still go ahead as usual therefore if your child usually takes part in a sport related activity on a Friday afternoon, they will still require their PE kit.

Year 3 – Science

Year 3 are learning all about plant this half term. We have looked at the different parts of a flowering plant and what plants need in order to grow well. Today, we set up an investigation to look at how important soil really is to plant growth. Do they REALLY need it? We have planted cress seeds in soil, sand, paper towel and cotton wool and we are going to observe the seeds as they grow. Most of us think that it will grow best in soil but we can’t wait to find out!
