Year 4 Dance Festival

Year 4 were lucky enough to be invited to the Beacon of Light to take part in a dance festival. They learnt 2 new dances – one for Hallowe’en (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Witch Doctor. They had so much fun!

Year 6 tag rugby with the Newcastle Eagles…

Our year 6 were so lucky today when a Newcastle Falcons rugby player visited them and showed them his skills-we had fun, learned new skills and improved our fitness!

10 Pin Bowling!

Some of our amazing Year 1 and Year 5 children took part in a bowling competition alongside other schools in Sunderland. We had lots of fun.

The year 1 team won medals and certificates for coming 4th place in the competition and the year 5 team won medals and certificates for coming 2nd place in the competition.

A huge shout out to Brendan Dorothy (Year 5) who had the highest overall score in the whole competition and a massive well done to Jae Gladstone (Year 5) and Logan Storey (Year 5) for the highest number of strikes and spares.

Disability Sport…

The Foundation of Light work with us to enable our children to experience a range of sports but with a disability. They encourage the children to wear blindfolds to experience blindness whilst playing sport and some of the games they played on their bottoms to experience what it is like for those children who difficulty using their legs. It is a great experience and one that really stirs empathy and understanding further in our children. We look forward to welcoming Disability Sport back this year.

Daily Mile…

The whole school participates in the Daily Mile throughout the school day to improve fitness and release feel good endorphins…
