Year 3 visited Broom House Farm today and had a fantastic time! They learned so much about the animals and were able to explore lots of different areas around the farm. After dinner, they had the opportunity to explore their Forest Adventure Park which they absolutely loved! They were an absolute credit to the school with brilliant behaviour and manners. We can’t wait for our next visit in Spring term.

This week in Science we have been designing our own classification keys to classify minibeasts based on their characteristics and features. We used our knowledge of mini beasts from our mini beast hunt to help us. We really enjoyed grouping minibeasts together identifying different and similar characteristics. Year 6 have absolutely loved chair drumming this term! With energy and rhythm, they’ve tackled everything from the iconic We Will Rock You to the sea shanty The Wellerman, and even the fast-paced beats of Riverdance. It’s been amazing to see their enthusiasm and teamwork grow with every session. I can’t wait to see their final performance—it’s sure to be a showstopper!
Today we looked at the properties of materials and how good they would be keeping heat in. We put hot water in cups wrapped in different materials and measured the temperature using thermometers-we were amazing investigators!
This week, Year 1 blasted off into Space Week! We’ve been exploring what it’s like to live in space and imagining what astronauts do every day and where they stay when they are in space.
