This week, Year 1 blasted off into Space Week! We’ve been exploring what it’s like to live in space and imagining what astronauts do every day and where they stay when they are in space. We watched lots of clips of astronauts doing everyday things in space like brushing teeth and talked about how different it is to doing this on earth. The children thought carefully about what they would take with them on a space journey and created their own lists of items to pack. To finish, everyone designed their very own rocket — complete with special features to make life in space comfortable and fun. It’s been an exciting week learning all about space.
