As part of Outdoor Learning Day, Year 1 embraced the season of autumn by becoming young explorers in our school grounds. Armed with clipboards and curious minds, we set out to collect data about the natural world around us — spotting colourful leaves, fallen seeds, and other signs of the changing season.
Back in the classroom, we sorted and classified our findings into different groups before using Purple Mash on the iPads to create vibrant pictograms to display our results. It was a wonderful blend of outdoor discovery, scientific thinking, and digital creativity — a perfect way to celebrate learning beyond the classroom!
