This week, our children have been busy exploring the classic story The Tiger Who Came to Tea! They’ve loved diving into the story, talking about the friendly tiger’s unexpected visit, and joining in lots of creative, hands-on activities inspired by the book.
As part of their learning, the children made their own sandwiches — carefully choosing their favourite fillings and enjoying the tasty results together. There were lots of smiles (and crumbs!) as they shared their delicious creations.
In our creative area, the children used playdough, marshmallows, and sprinkles to make imaginative “cakes” just like those in the story. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to explore shapes, textures, and their own ideas while developing their fine motor skills.
They also expressed their creativity through art, making an amazing collection of colourful tiger pictures using different materials and techniques.
It’s been a fantastic week of storytelling, creativity, and fun — the children have truly brought the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea to life!
