This week the children have been enjoying lots of activities linked to The Gruffalo. They worked together to chop up fruit to make their own “Gruffalo crumble,” practising safe cutting skills and talking about healthy foods.
The class also had fun baking gingerbread foxes, carefully mixing, rolling, and shaping the dough before enjoying their tasty treats.
The children took part in a sensory walk, feeling different textures under their feet such as grass, mud, water, and sand. This helped them explore the woodland setting of the story in a hands-on way.
It has been a wonderful week of learning, full of creativity, teamwork, and imagination! Let’s see where our Gruffalo adventures take us next.
