This week we have started our growing topic. We have read the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and thought about what the beanstalk would need to grow. We then planted our own bean and sequenced the steps of how to grow a bean. Later in the week, we began to look at flowering plants. We labelled parts of a flower and talked about the function of each part. We then then made our own flowers using tissue paper and developed our observational drawing skills to draw our own flowers.
For our homework, we were set the challenge of growing our own sunflower. Keep your eyes peeled to see how we are getting on.
