In Year 2, we are taught by Miss Dickinson, Miss Brook and Miss Livingston.
Autumn 2025
This term, we will continue to develop our reading skills using the Little Wandle Programme. We will begin to work on our spellings following the spelling programme. In maths, this half term we are securing our Place Value understanding and knowledge to 100. In our curriculum lessons, we will be focussing on Art and Design exploring colours and creating self portraits. In design and technology, we are following the design process to create our own Halloween spooky smoothies!

P.E
All Year 2 children will have PE on a Tuesday.
Please send your child’s P.E. kit into school on a Monday and we will send them home on a Friday. All children must wear their full school PE kit and trainers or plimsoles. All earrings must be removed at home before a PE day.
Homework
Year 2 will be given log ins for ‘Times Tables Rock Stars’, an online platform, enabling children to build skills in understanding, recall and fluency in their timetables. Children are encouraged to use this at home to support their learning.

Home Reading Books
Year 2 home reading books and spellings are given out after their third reading session in school. Reading books will be given out Monday’s and Friday’s. Please keep returning your child’s reading books so we can give you a new one.
