The Gruffalo
This week we have been learning all about the Gruffalo. We have read the story lots and lots! Spoke about the characters, sequenced pictures and learnt a song all about the Gruffalo.
We have been getting crafty and made our own collage Gruffalo masks!
We have been strengthening our fingers and developing our colour and number recognition by adding ‘purple prickles’ to the Gruffalo back.
We have also created our own mini playdough Gruffalos’
We also coloured in characters from the story!
To end the week we had a Gruffalo Macmillan coffee party! We helped to make the sandwiches and gruffalo crumble.
Gruffalo Tea Party
In order to show our support for the Macmillan charity we decided to have a Gruffalo party. We made ham and cheese sandwiches, Gruffalo crumble and Gruffalo claws. We had lots of fun making these! We had to make sure that our hands were nice and clean and follow the instructions carefully.
On Friday we had lots of tasty treats! We tried the Gruffalo’s orange eye balls, had some of snakes log pile house, Gruffalo crumble and owl ice- cream. We had a great party and raised lots of money for a very important charity.
