The Gruffalo
To start our new topic of into the woods we learnt about the Gruffalo story.
Role Play
We shared the gruffalo costume to act out the role of the gruffalo. We accessed the topic tray to tell the story.
Gruffalo counting
We identified the numbers on the gruffalo’s and placed the correct number of purple prickles on its back.
Gruffalo Crumble
We worked together to make our own gruffalo crumble. We poured, mixed, and scooped to do them.
Creative Area’s
We had fun colouring and painting the characters from the story and making face puppets of the gruffalo.
Gruffalo tracing
To work on our pencil hold & fine motor skills we completed some gruffalo tracing activities.
Gruffalo party
To end our gruffalo topic we had a party by imitating the food in the story. The children loved the gruffalo’s orange eyes & owl ice cream.
