Year 4 Space week

This week we have been learning about living in space for Space Week. We discussed what it would be like to travel into space and what you would need to wear. Year 5 STEMFEST!

Some of our Year 5 children had a great day at STEMFEST. They enjoyed taking part in a variety of interactive workshops, presentations, exhibitions, and competitions that celebrated the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).


Year 5 separating in science

In our ‘changing materials’ topic we moved onto separating materials using evaporation, sieves, magnets and filter paper. We investigated how to separate salt and water, rice and sand and rice and paper clips-we had a great time!


Year 5 Science Week…

Today we looked at gravity and it’s effect on astronauts. We looked at how long it took different objects to fall and recorded our results. We then looked at Galileo and his experiment-we had a great time!


Year 4 explore living things

This week year 4 became explorers and went out into our school grounds to look for living things. First we had to recap the seven life processes and discussed the difference between vertebrate and invertebrate. Year 2 Visit the Church for Harvest

Year 2 had an amazing time at Holy Trinity Church, exploring the meaning of Harvest. We learnt all about the Creation Story through a puppet show and discussed what we are grateful for in life.
