On Thusday, a group of children enjoyed a fantastic trip to Ashbrooke Cricket Ground, where they worked together in teams to complete a variety of fun cricket activities in the sunshine. One of our fantastic Year 6 pupils, Lola, led an amazing slime-making workshop! 🌟 Lola was incredibly organised and confidently guided everyone through the process with clear, step-by-step instructions. We were so impressed by her leadership and enthusiasm. Things got a little messy along the way—but that’s all part of the fun! We had a brilliant time creating our slime, although we’re not sure
The lady from Kalma Life showed us some yoga poses and how to calm our mind and body. It was a lot harder than it looked but we had a great time!
We had 3 types of melon, blackberries, peaches, grapes, kiwi and raspberries to name but a few-we loved it!
Year 5 and 6 children became young fire figthers and worked with Tyne and wear Fire Brigade for 1 week! They did drills, rescued dummies, used the hoses and gas masks too-they had a great time!
We joined The Wear Rivers Trust and looked at wildlife in the Congburn biome. We measured the depth and velocity of the river and looked at the parts of a river and what the size of rocks told us about erosion. We had a great time!

Today we revisited our sewing that we did in year 4 and re did the back stitch. We then took our learning even further to create and over stitch in readiness for our Viking purse designs. We were amamzing!
In geography we are looking at the importance of trees. We looked at what trees gave the earth and he living things on it. We then looked at leaves and how they informed us as to what the tree was. We then went out looking at leaves to identify the species-we loved it!
