Nursery rhymes play an important role in our children’s early lives, particularly the development of crucial language and communication skills.
Last year, over 446,000 children took part from over 31 countries in World Nursery Rhyme Week. This year we want to be part of this essential learning experience.
Please join us for this popular ‘rhyme a day’ challenge which begins Monday 9th November and ends in a performance for parents and grandparents on Thursday 12th November. The morning performance will begin at 9:30am on 12th of November so please come straight round to the
office after dropping off your child and wait for us to come and entertain you with our singing. In the afternoon of 12th of November our performance will begin at 2:00pm. The children may be collected after the performance.
We have chosen the following popular nursery rhymes.
- 1-2-3-4-5 (once I caught a fish alive)
- Horsie Horsie
- Twinkle Twinkle
Reception will be focussing on:-
- Ring a ring a roses
- Miss Polly had a dolly
- I’m a little teapot
- The grand old Duke of York
- Wee Willie Winkie
Thank you for your cooperation.
