Year 2 exploring opinions in PSHE

In today’s PSHE lesson, we explored the concept of opinions—what they are, why they matter and the importance of respecting the views of others. The children took part in an engaging activity where they were presented with different statements and asked to decide whether they agreed or disagreed, explaining their reasoning. They showed great enthusiasm in sharing their thoughts and demonstrated excellent speaking and listening skills. Some pupils were even able to thoughtfully persuade others to reconsider their views through clear and respectful discussion. Finally, the class worked collaboratively to share their ideas on how we could improve our school, valuing each other’s perspectives while confidently expressing their own. It was a fun and meaningful lesson that encouraged confidence, critical thinking, and mutual respect.
