Our children enjoyed a lovely visit to the care home, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the important role of carers and the wonderful work they do to support others. They asked thoughtful questions, including “What made you want to become a carer?” and found out more about the skills, responsibilities and experiences involved in the role. The children also enjoyed chatting with residents about their own jobs and careers, sharing stories and learning from their experiences. It was a lovely opportunity to build connections between generations, develop the children’s understanding of different careers and show the importance of kindness, care and community. They were all amazing, showed great enthusiasm and represented our school so well! Well-done Year 4!
