This half term, Year 2 had the wonderful opportunity to hatch our very own ducklings. We carefully looked after five eggs, keeping them warm and safe in an incubator until, one by one, all five ducklings hatched!
It was a truly special experience to watch the ducklings emerge and begin to grow right before our eyes in the classroom. As they became a little bigger and stronger, we were excited to see them go into water for the very first time. There was lots of laughter as we watched their tiny feet paddle quickly—some of them even splashed us!
Alongside this, we have been learning in English about how to care for ducklings. This has helped us ensure they remain happy, healthy and safe during their time with us at Southwick.
