Today, we explored pollination and what it actually means. We took on the role of the insects, the pollinators, and we dipped our fingers in paint (to represent the pollen). We then walked around the room landing on the different flowers (putting our painted fingertips on the flowers) to represent the insects moving from flower to flower. In the end, we could see that as we landed on a flower, we actually picked up bits of pollen (other colours of paint) from other insects (children).
