Aspirations at Southwick Community Primary School
At Southwick Community Primary School, we believe every child should be encouraged to dream big and develop high aspirations for their future. Our Aspirations Curriculum is designed to broaden children’s horizons by introducing them to a wide range of careers, industries and inspirational role models, helping them to understand the many exciting opportunities and pathways that may be available to them in the future.
Each half term, pupils take part in a range of Aspirations activities, exploring a different profession through engaging experiences, meeting visitors from the world of work, visiting workplaces, learning about inspirational people and discovering how different careers make a positive contribution to our communities and the wider world. These experiences help children make meaningful links between their learning in school and future opportunities, while encouraging them to work hard, develop confidence and believe in their own potential.
We hope that by providing these enriching experiences throughout their time at Southwick Community Primary School, every child leaves us inspired, ambitious and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
Please see our Aspirations Curriculum Policy below for more information.
