Science Week

During Science Week, our class explored the theme of space and the planets within our solar system. Pupils took part in a range of structured activities designed to introduce key scientific ideas in an accessible and engaging way.

Through sensory exploration, discussion and practical tasks, pupils learned about the different planets, considering their colours, sizes and key features. These activities supported the development of communication skills, curiosity and collaborative learning within the classroom.

The week provided an enjoyable opportunity for pupils to engage with scientific concepts while developing observation, participation and language skills within our classroom.

During Science Week, our class explored what happened when bath bombs are placed in water. As they fizz and dissolve, we observed bubbles forming and colours spreading through the water. This simple experiment helps us see a chemical reaction in action while encouraging curiosity, sensory exploration, and careful observation.

We had the opportunity to predict what might happen, watch the bath bombs dissolve, and talk about the changes they noticed.
