Goldilocks and the Three Bears

This week we have been reading ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’.

A Crime Scene!

We were shocked to arrive to a crime scene in Nursery and a letter from PC Plod! We had to look for clues to help PC Plod find out who did it. We were excellent detectives and we soon realised it must have been Goldilocks! Good police work Nursery!

Describing Goldilocks

PC Plod had another challenge for us. We helped him found out who did it but then he needed to know what Goldilocks looked like so he could arrest her! The children had to use their words to describe Goldilocks to their key worker so they could make a wanted poster to help PC Plod catch Goldilocks! Well done children!

Lots of the children were inspired to create their own Goldilocks art work, adding in all those important details. What fantastic work!

Playdough Bears

The children used the playdough to create Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear from the story, talking about the different sizes of the bears and choosing the right tools to help them.

Goldilocks Role Play

We have had great fun pretending to be Goldilocks! We used big, medium & small bowls in the home corner for the bears porridge!

Three Bears Porridge

We practiced our scooping and filling skills with porridge oats into different sized bowls for Daddy Bear, Mammy Bear & Baby Bear.

Making and Tasting Porridge

We have helped to make our own porridge just like the bears eat. We all had a try and we loved it!
